DETROIT, MI – Big Sean gave a telling interview recently on a New York City radio station that hit a variety of topics including his work with Eminem, details about the new “Hall of Fame” album and his review of Kanye West’s “Yeezus.”
Big Sean, who grew up in Detroit, revealed that he will work with Eminem on a new song, but claims he isn’t sure if it will be on “Hall of Fame,” slated for an Aug. 27 release. Big Sean released last month a new song called “Beware” that features Lil’ Wayne.
Big Sean’s comments about working with Eminem in an interview with 105.1 FM’s “Breakfast Club”, transcribed by the website Rap-Up.com, can be found below. He also mentions that Kanye West’s new “Yeezus” album isn’t his favorite.
“There’s gonna be a Big Sean-Eminem song. I don’t know if it’s gonna be on my album, it might be for something that we got planned later on… He’s a true OG. I don’t know if there’s any misconceptions about Eminem, but that dude’s real polite, real nice.
He said, ‘I haven’t been this impressed in so long with somebody’s album. Even though I knew you could rap, you really gonna do something big with this.’ That was just an honor. Coming from the D, that was the person that showed us that it was real.”
