Watch one of five Kanye West video projections in Detroit; get scoop on new ‘Yeezus’ album (w/videos)

DETROIT, MI – The day Kanye West’s new “Yeezus” album leaked four days early, he launched the second wave of an album promotion campaign that included a push in Detroit.

In the Motor City, West used a Chicago-based promotion company to show the video to his song “New Slaves” on five buildings in the city and play a few songs from the new album.

Watch video of “New Slaves,” projected on the side of the city’s Leland Hotel, in the video player at the end of this post.

One of the songs played at the Leland Hotel after the “New Slaves” video was one called “On Sight” that’s produced by Daft Punk.

Another song played was “Black Skinhead,” and that really got the crowd going.

There were four other projection sites that were also downtown.

When the video for the song and a few tracks from “Yeezus” stopped playing, an image projected on the hotel at 400 Bagley that simply read: “Yeezus June Eighteen.”

The website Hip Hop N More has what it claims is the track list for “Yeezus” from the album that leaked Friday afternoon online.

MTV News linked to the website and mentions that “Yeezus” is the year’s most anticipated album.

West picked a Friday night last month to debut his “New Slaves” video to select cities around the world via building projections.
